
Wynford schools began harnessing wind power a little more than a week ago. The district celebrated that achievement Monday in a small ceremony in the bus garage -- which provided cover from the wet weather.
The wind was blowing hard, and people had to shield their eyes from the rain to see the 37-meter high turbines spinning and producing 30 percent of the energy needs for the high school and elementary building.
