
John P. Danner
President and CEO
John P. Danner joined Northern Power Systems in October 2008. Mr. Danner brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to Northern Power Systems and was previously president and CEO of Codon Devices, a privately held, high-growth biotechnology company. Prior to Codon, he held a number of executive positions at PerkinElmer, Inc. (NYSE: PKI), including vice president and general manager of a $450M group of global life science businesses. In addition, Mr. Danner was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, serving in both the United States and Europe, with a focus on strategy development, operational excellence, and organizational development. Earlier in his career, he served as an officer on a United States Navy nuclear submarine and was a DOE-qualified engineer for a 148MW S6G nuclear power plant. Mr. Danner holds a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and a Masters of Business Administration with distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Parthiv Amin
President, Community Wind

Parthiv Amin joined Northern Power Systems in February 2010 with extensive experience in the wind industry and will continue to build on Northern Power's leadership in the community wind marketplace. Mr. Amin was formerly President of Winergy Drive Systems, a business unit of Siemens Corp., the world’s largest wind turbine drive train (gearbox and generator) manufacturer. Prior to that role, he was Vice President of Global Marketing and Services at Emerson Electric Company where he led global business development and played a key role in new product development and acquisition. Mr. Amin earned his post graduate studies in accounting and a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College. He also completed undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois.
Troy Patton
President, Utility Wind
Troy Patton joined Northern Power Systems in April 2009 with over 17 years experience in the power generation industry. Mr. Patton comes to Northern Power from Vestas (VWS), where he was senior vice president and head of the engineering and product function within Vestas Technology R&D. Prior to that role, he helped facilitate General Electric’s (NYSE: GE) integration of Enron’s wind energy business in 2003. He served in numerous technical and leadership roles for GE’s Wind Technology division. Earlier in his career, he served as a load dispatcher and engineer on a United States aircraft carrier and United States nuclear submarine, respectively. Mr. Patton received a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from Clemson University.
Doug Prince
Chief Financial Officer

Doug Prince joined Northern Power Systems in October 2010 with over 30 years of financial and operational leadership experience with global high tech, industrial and life sciences businesses. Prior to joining Northern Power, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for MDS Inc., a $1.2 billion publicly traded global life sciences company located in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Prince has also held senior leadership roles at PerkinElmer, GE Capital, Aeroquip-Vickers and AlliedSignal, and spent the first 15 years of his career with General Electric. Mr. Prince is a Six Sigma Black Belt and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky.
Jonathan Lynch
Chief Technology Officer
Jonathan Lynch joined Northern Power Systems in September 1980 and has taken an active role in all aspects of power system design including mechanical and electrical subsystems, and has a strong knowledge of high-reliability, hybrid power systems and distributed generation technology. He has directed numerous R&D programs funded by agencies such as National Renewable Energy Laboratory, National Science Foundation, and NASA. Prior to joining Northern Power, Mr. Lynch was employed as a design engineer at Carrier Corporation, modeling and designing high-performance refrigeration systems for transportation applications. Mr. Lynch graduated with honors from Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree.
William Decker
Chief Human Resources Officer
William Decker joined Northern Power Systems in April 2009. He came to the team from National Life Group, one of Vermont’s largest employers, where he held the position of senior vice president of human resources. Mr. Decker brings more than 25 years of leadership experience working with companies to help accelerate growth by enhancing the effectiveness of organizations and their people. Earlier in his career, Mr. Decker served in senior executive roles with General Electric Company, Baxter Healthcare International, Verispan LLC, and Schering-Plough Corporation. Mr. Decker holds a Master of Business Administration degree in human resources administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Bachelors of Science degree in industrial relations and management from Seton Hall University where he received the Medal of Academic Excellence.
Taylor Robinson
Vice President, Global Supply Chain

Taylor Robinson joined Northern Power Systems in September 2009 with 25 years of experience in international supply chain management experience. Mr. Robinson was formerly Executive Vice President of Supply Chain at Watts Water Technologies (NYSE: WTS), a global manufacturer of water quality, conservation and safety products. Prior to that role, he was Chief Procurement Officer at HJ Heinz; Global Sourcing Supply Chain Director at AlliedSignal/Honeywell International; and was a key leader in the strategic sourcing organization at Honda of America. Mr. Robinson is a Six Sigma Black Belt with extensive Lean Manufacturing experience and is a graduate of Bowling Green State University.
Elliot Mark
Vice President & General Counsel
Elliot Mark joined Northern Power Systems in September 2010 and brings over 20 years of corporate legal experience, including extensive experience in counseling public and private companies on securities law matters, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, managing intellectual property portfolios, and working with executive teams and Boards of Directors to mold business strategy and achieve significant financial growth. Most recently, Mr. Mark served as General Counsel to Gomez, Inc., where he helped to negotiate a strategic $295 million merger with Compuware, as well as re-launch the company’s IPO. Prior to Gomez, Mr. Mark was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Salary.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLRY), where he co-led the company’s 2007 IPO. He also has held the position of General Counsel with Viisage Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: VISG), and eRoom Technology, Inc., and was Associate General Counsel of Arthur D. Little, Inc. and Molten Metal Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MLTN). Mr. Mark holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Government from Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Jim Stover
General Manager - Asia

Jim Stover has over 15 years of international business development and marketing expertise and has served in a variety of sales, marketing and product management roles at Northern Power Systems since March 2002. He was part of the senior management team that directed the successful $57 million refinancing of the company in 2008. Mr. Stover is an active member of AWEA’s Small Wind and R&D Committees. Prior to Northern Power, Mr. Stover lived in Beijing, China where he managed energy consulting projects for ERM, a multidisciplinary environmental engineering firm. Mr. Stover graduated with honors from Middlebury College with degrees in Economics and Russian and completed coursework in strategic management at the Tuck Graduate School of Management.
Brett Pingree
Vice President, Sales Americas

Brett Pingree has over 15 years of experience in sales management, product commercialization, international business development and strategic channel development. After joining Northern Power in September 2004, Mr. Pingree played a pivotal role developing and implementing the initial Distributed Wind go-to-market strategy. He then lead the successful commercialization of Northern Power’s PMDD technology in the Distributed Wind Market resulting in the company’s current market leadership position. Mr. Pingree serves as Co-Chair of the on the American Wind Energy Association’s (AWEA) Small Wind Committee, is a member of the AWEA Community Wind steering committee and a Board member and Founding Member of the Distributed Wind Energy Association (DWEA). Pingree holds a bachelor degree of science from the University of Vermont with MBA work at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College.
Reinout G. Oussoren
Managing Director – Europe
Reinout Oussoren joined Northern Power Systems in September 2009. He brings more than 20 years of commercial and operational leadership experience to Northern Power from a variety of international organizations. In his most recent position Mr. Oussoren was the Global Sales Leader for GE Energy’s Membrane Technologies business part of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). During previous roles at GE he was responsible as Sales Leader and General Manager for GE Environmental Services in Europe, following the acquisition of BHA Group Holdings, Inc. He served as General Manager – Europe and member of the executive team since 1994 following the successful sale of his personal business, SF Air Filtration AG a leading supplier of filtration parts and components, to BHA Group. Mr. Oussoren has a mechanical engineering degree from MTS in the Netherlands, holds various international patents and completed coursework in strategic marketing and management.
Charles W. (Chaz) Vaughan
Vice President, Commercialization – Utility Wind
Chaz Vaughan joined Northern Power Systems in December 2010 with over 12 years of commercial experience in the power generation industry. Mr. Vaughan comes to Northern Power from Clipper Windpower, Inc., where he was Vice President of Sales and responsible for business development in North and South America, the United Kingdom and Europe. Prior to that role, he served as Regional Sales Director at Clipper, as Regional Sales Manager at GE Power Generation – Wind Energy (NYSE: GE), and as Director, Origination at Enron Wind. Previously, he held roles in energy project development, power marketing, and finance at Enron Corp., and commercial roles in the telecommunications and consumer products industries. Mr. Vaughan holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing & Organizational Management and Journalism & Mass Communications from the University of Colorado (Boulder) and a Masters of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
